Reduction

The human brain processes images in a most complex manner that is hardly hinted at in modern image analysis.  With little detail and few shades of brightness, the brain automatically processes faces and figures to generate surprisingly elaborate interpretations of the image.  Here are some photographs that have been reduced to images of simple shapes with limited shades and colors.  None the less, these simple shapes convey a great deal to the viewer whether the viewer likes it or not.  To me it is the essence within any photograph.
